Chris Hall
Group Managing Director, APT Travel Group
Chris was appointed Group Managing Director of ATG in July 2014. He is responsible for the APT Travel Group’s global tour and cruise business which operates programs in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Europe, China, Russia, Vietnam, Myanmar, South America, Africa and India under a number of brands including APT, Travelmarvel, Captain’s Choice and Botanica World Discoveries. Prior to joining APT Travel Group in 2001 as General Manager, Marketing and Sales, Chris had held positions in sales, marketing, and product development, and has worked within the wholesale, retail, touring and cruising sectors. Chris holds a Business degree in Management and Marketing.
Ross Kemp
Group Finance Director
Ross was appointed Group Financial Director in 2012 and is responsible for the accounting, taxation, legal, M&A, corporate governance, compliance and treasury management aspects of the APT Travel Group. Ross also oversees the group’s interests in its portfolio of partners. Ross is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business.
David Cox
Executive General Manager, Travelmarvel
Joining in 2004, David has held a number of senior roles including CFO and COO for the APT Travel Group, together with more than 30 years’ experience in the travel industry. He is responsible for the Travelmarvel business globally including river cruising, small ships and land touring. David holds a Bachelor of Economics and is a CPA.
Debra Fox
Executive General Manager – Global Marketing and Sales
Deb was appointed Executive General Manager, Global Marketing and Sales in January 2014 and is responsible for the group’s brand marketing, sales, creative and digital streams. Commencing in 2003 she had held a number of senior roles including National Sales Manager, as well as General Manager Marketing and Customer Service. Deb has over 30 years’ experience in the industry across retail, product, sales and marketing. Deb holds a Diploma in Business – Marketing.
Nicole De Wilde
Vice President, Sales and Marketing, United Kingdom and North America
Nicole joined the group in August 2011 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for North America, and also now oversees our UK sales and marketing function. Based in our Vancouver office, Nicole has over 25 years’ experience in the travel industry having worked in senior management positions in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Guy Ballard
General Manager – Information & Communication Technology
Guy joined the group in February 2012 as General Manager, Information & Communication Technology. Guy has over 25 years’ management and hands-on experience in many areas of information technology, most recently working at Village Roadshow where he spent 10 years as Business Systems Manager. Guy holds a B.Sc and B.Ed and a G.Dip in Business Systems.
Helen Stevenson
Chief Financial Officer
Helen was appointed Chief Financial Officer in October 2012. Prior to joining the group, Helen held senior finance and commercial roles with Visy. Helen is a Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).
Rob Tandy
Executive General Manager, Captain’s Choice
Rob was appointed Executive General Manager, Captain’s Choice in 2016. Rob joined the group in 2012 as General Manager of the Kimberley and Outback Wilderness Adventures business. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Property and Construction. Rob is also a Director and Co-founder of the Snowdome Foundation.
Steve Reynolds
Executive General Manager, APT
Steve joined the group in September 2015 as Executive General Manager, APT and is responsible for all APT products including Kimberley and Outback Wilderness Adventures. Steve has more than 15 years’ experience in the travel industry including roles with Backroads (UK) and Cox & Kings. Steve holds a BA (Hons).
Beth Knight
Executive General Manager, Human Resources
Beth was appointed Executive General Manager, Human Resources in April 2015. Beth has had over 15 years’ experience in human resources and workplace relations, having previously worked in retail, FMCG and manufacturing. Beth holds a BA/LLB and an MBA and a Grad Dip in HR and IR.
Simon Mooney
General Manager, Customer Service
Simon was appointed General Manager, Customer Service in September, 2015 and was previously the Manager, Customer Service for our Retail Team. Prior to joining ATG in 2012, Simon held a number of Customer Service roles with Qantas Business Travel and Escape Travel.
John Barnett
Executive General Manager, International Operations
John was appointed to the position of Executive General Manager, International Operations in February 2016 and is responsible for the delivery of all our cruising and touring programs worldwide, Commencing with the business in 1993, John has held a number of positions in our Operations division.
Judy Vanrenen
Botanica Co-Founder
Judy is the Founder and Co/owner with APT of Botanica World Discoveries. Created in 2000, Botanica offers botanically themed river and small ship cruises and tours to iconic destinations. Prior to forming Botanica, Judy had over 25 years’ experience in the travel industry.
